    Looking after the various activities of “Human Resource Development Group” which broadly involves, the organization of Industrial Training Courses, Students Training, Institutional visits to NPL, Placement, Ph.D. Registration & other support to Research Fellows (JRFs+SRFs), Deputation of NPL Staff Members, to attend Conferences/similar events, Dissemination of HRD related information to NPL Staff members. Also involved in the Processing of Light weight & High strength Metals, Alloys and Composites.

    Professional Experience: 27 years of R & D experience in the field of (a) Synthesis of Superhard Materials under High Pressure & High Temperature and (b) Processing of Light Weight High Strength Metals, Alloys & Composites. The work on the Superhard materials was related to the synthesis of (i) Diamond, (ii) Cubic boron nitride (cBN), the only material next to diamond in hardness and (iii) Sintered composites of cubic boron nitride, whereas the work on the light weight-high strength metals, alloys & composites was related to the Processing of Al & Mg-alloys using Spray Atomization and Deposition technique, Synthesis of Functionally Gradient Metal matrix composites and Metal matrix composites by powder metallurgy route as well as liquid metallurgy.
